By Marie Arthur | Last Updated On February 11, 2020

When was the last time you shaved?

It was probably just yesterday for most of us!

For many women (and some men) shaving can be tedious and tiring. If you’re the kind of person whose hair grows in quickly, you may find yourself running through razors like they’re going out of style. Shaving can easily get in the way of your daily activities and when summer rolls around, you don’t want to stress about whether or not you can rock those short shorts.

If you’re tired of shaving almost every day and want to find an affordable yet effective alternative, consider a home hair removal machine. You won’t believe how much time and money it can save — and how much easier life will be.

With many options available on the market it can be challenging to find the right one for you. From the type of device to what kind of skin tone a device will work best on, it’s important to take the time to find the perfect option for you. But don’t worry! Best At-Home Laser & IPL Hair Removal Devices of 2020

1. Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X Review

The Tria Laser 4X is an at-home hair removal device that many depend on. Because it uses leading diode laser technology many people trust and prefer it. We love that many dermatologists prefer the Tria Laser 4X but we still suggest that you  ask a dermatologist if it is right for you.

It is important to note that those who want to remove light-colored, red, grey or blonde hair will want to look elsewhere as this device only works on medium to dark hairs. The Tria Laser 4X works best on people targeting areas with fair skin and dark hair and is not recommended for people with dark complexions regardless of hair color. The official Tria website offers an easy to follow skin and hair color guide for potential buyers.

If you are concerned about safety you’ll be happy to know that the Tria Laser 4X is FDA approved so you can confidently use it at home (assuming your target area has a Tria recommended skin tone and hair color combination). The Tria Laser 4X is safe to use on both the face and body so you can get rid of all of your unwanted hairs, no matter where they are.

While it is a bit pricey (check the price here), it is also one of the most effective options available for hair removal. The Tria Laser 4X’s attractive and easy-to-use design makes it comfortable to use. Although, it is best for treating medium and small areas. Large areas (like the entire back and/or both legs) can be time consuming to treat and may require you to re-charge the device mid session. Also, the device is a bit heavy and may weigh on your wrist during long sessions. On the flip side, the Tria is great for focused areas such as the face, under arms, bikini line, legs and nape of the neck. If the price is overwhelming, the Tria Laser 4X’s little sister, the Tria Beauty Precision, may be right for you.

How does it work? The Tria’s lasers target hair follicles, attracted to the follicles’ darker pigmentation in contrast with the skin. Once treated by the Tria’s laser the follicle falls out and should not grow back. Users should expect to use the Tria on the same area in multiple sessions over a period of time for best results, all in two week intervals. Some users see results after the first session, others use it for a year or more before achieving the desired result — this is partially due to the user’s own hair growth rate, thickness and type.

For some, using the Tria Laser 4X may be considered painful — but it really depends on your tolerance. First you shave the area, then you apply the device to approximately one centimeter area at a time. With each push of the button you will feel a little “zap,” or pinch with a little heat. There are multiple intensity settings controlling how strong the laser is and therefore how much pain you’ll experience. Using a higher setting is more effective in the long run but for sensitive areas you may want to lower the intensity for comfort’s sake. Or have a friend hold you down.

In short, while it may take longer to eliminate your undesirable hairy areas, with the Tria they will grow back thinner and thinner and eventually not at all!

What We Like

  • It’s versatile and can be used on your face or body & has five intensity settings
  • It’s cordless, easy to use, ergonomic with an LED display.
  • It’s highly effective in thinning hair into obscurity, if used every two weeks for up to a year.
  • It’s FDA-approved and safe to use at home without additional products.

What We Don’t Like

  • Some consider the process painful, so if you are sensitive, this may not be right for you.
  • It is heavy to hold, which can get tiring when targeting large or hard to reach areas; and you may have to break and recharge the battery during long sessions.
  • It isn’t a good device for people with dark skin tones.

2. Braun Gillette Venus Silk – Expert IPL 5001 Review

The Braun Gillette Venus Silk Expert is an IPL or “Intense Pulsed Light” device. This means it utilizes a light-flash technology that uses multiple wavelengths of light to target melanin, or your body’s natural pigment. The light penetrates the first layer of your skin (without harming it), reaching the pigment in the skin’s second layer. Then, the pigment cells absorb the light, heat up and are incinerated.

However, IPL devices are used by dermatologists not only to remove unwanted hair but also to treat age spots, birthmarks, sun damage, freckles, spider veins and similar skin conditions. Since this device targets melanin, it may also treat these skin conditions simultaneously while you use it — even if you just want to target unwanted hairs. So, if you’ve got some much-loved freckles in the area you’re wanting to target, this may not be the product for you. Or, maybe zapping some spider veins at the same time sounds like the perfect fit! Either way, it’s worth considering this technology’s full spectrum of uses. But, as always, use the device as directed and when in doubt, consult a licensed dermatologist.

Aside from the IPL technology, one special feature of the Braun Gillette Venus Silk Expert that we LOVE is its “SensoAdapt.” Braun’s SensoAdapt feature targets melanin intelligently: they know that not everyone’s skin tone is consistent! The SensoAdapt is a skin tone sensor that scans a whopping 80x per second, adjusting the IPL wavelengths to safely and effectively target your unwanted pigmented places. So, if one area is slightly darker than another, the device will automatically use a lower power light pulse. The result is a safer, less painful treatment (compared to a laser). And like any device recommended by Beautishe — this device is FDA approved (check the price here).

Before we continue to sing the praises of Braun Gillet Venus Silk Expert (and there are MANY), it’s important to note that this device is not safe for all skin tones and types. Light to medium skin tones are ideal, paired with dark blonde to black hair. If your hair is not dark enough, or your skin tone is darker than the targeted hairs, this product will not work for you. Not sure about your skin tone? Check the Braun graph below:skin tone chart braun gillette venus silk

Other excellent selling points for the Braun Gillette Venus Silk Expert are… it’s fast! Not only is this product designed to treat large areas, but you can treat an entire arm or leg in as little as 8 minutes. Also, it’s a corded device so you’ll never have to stop mid-session to charge the thing. And as if that’s not convenient enough, it also has a “gliding mode” that will increase the number of light flashes unleashed by the device, ensuring fewer (whoopsie!) missed spots.

As we mentioned before, the Venus Silk Expert is less painful than other laser treatments and this model even has two settings, the lower for those of us with very low pain tolerances. Also, Braun claims that you should not need to use safety goggles (for the light flash) or cooling gels, post treatment. Simply shave the target area clean — using the Gillette razor they provide for free — then dry the area and get to “zapping.”

A small drawback is that you’ll need to use the Venus Silk Expert regularly for best results. It’s not magic after all. Most people report seeing less hair growth in treated areas within the first month and that they didn’t need to use the device after one year of consistent treatments.

The Braun Gillette Venus Silk Expert is good for large areas AND small areas, dirty blonde hairs and black hairs. It’s portable, durable, lightweight and good for up to 120,000 flashes — equivalent to 6 years of professional treatments!

What We Like

  • The SensoAdap technology is gentle on your skin, has two intensity settings and a fast-gliding mode to decrease missed spots.
  • It’s nearly painless to use and easy to use on any part of the body.
  • The device is fast during treatments, can target large areas in a single session without recharging, and is highly effective long-term.
  • It’s FDA-approved and safe to use at home without additional products.

What We Don’t Like

  • For some users, it can be uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time; and the intensity button placement makes it easy to bump and accidentally change levels.
  • It isn’t a good device for people with dark skin tones.
  • If you do manage to use all 120,000 flashes in the bulb, you can’t replace it. You’ll have to buy the whole device again.

3. Remington iLIGHT Ultra Face & Body At-Home Hair Removal System Review

The Remington iLIGHT Ultra is another IPL or “Intense Pulsed Light” device. It is also FDA approved but also has some important safety instructions; and, just like the devices discussed previously in this Buyer’s Guide, the Remington iLIGHT Ultra is not good for anyone with a dark skin tone or very light-colored hair (we’re soooo sorry if this describes you)!

In fact, Remington is so serious about their customers’ safety that they uniquely included in a skin tone tester inside the iLIGHT Ultra device! This way you can test each treatment area before the session to ensure you’re using the device safely, as intended. To see their skin tone graph before purchasing (which is very similar to the Tria & Gillette ones above), visit the Remington website.

Remington’s product studies claim that the iLIGHT Ultra will provide 2X better results than its competitors, including Tria & Gillette devices, after three bi-weekly uses. Unfortunately we aren’t able to confirm or deny this study — but we did want to share the statistic with you! This is most likely due to the fact that the iLIGHT Ultra uses a stronger light flash than its competitors; but keep in mind that while this means it will likely be more effective, it’s also likely to be more painful.

The iLIGHT Ultra has five power level settings so it is a customizable experience. Also, this devices uses an ultra-fast flash rate, covers a larger surface area per flash than competitors; although, the device requires 3 to 4 seconds recovery time in between flashes.

One pro is that the device is corded, so you won’t have to charge the battery in between sessions. One con is that the iLIGHT Ultra is specifically not recommended for use on the eyebrows, anywhere near the eyes or — on a man’s head, neck or face (they are very strict on this point).

If you are looking for potent, fast results, the iLIGHT will reduce your targeted unwanted hairs by 94% after three uses — one of the strongest claims on the market; but, you may need replacement parts in the process. While this product is similar in price (check it here) to the Braun Gillette Venus Silk, you may need to replace the flash cartridge after 65,000 flashes. Luckily, the device comes with one free flash cartridge! And, our research shows that additional cartridges are affordable (check the price here) and certainly less expensive than replacing the whole device; but in the long run, time and money (and stress) spent on maintenance can add up.

What We Like

  • The light flash technology is stronger than it’s competitors and your should see results fast.
  • It includes a necessary replacement flash cartridge, so the first one replacement part is included in the initial price.
  • The device is quick to use, can target large areas in a single session without recharging and is highly effective long-term.
  • It’s FDA-approved and safe to use at home without additional products.

What We Don’t Like

  • The bulbs don’t last as long as some would like, so you may need replacements quickly.
  • There is a 3 to 4 second recovery period between flashes, so it can feel a little “stop start” while using the device.
  • It is not recommended for men’s face, head or neck; male or female eyebrows, or light colored hair.
  • It isn’t a good device for people with dark skin tones.

4. Silk’n Flash & Go Express At-Home Permanent Hair Removal Device Review

The compact size of the Flash&Go makes it easy for you to take it with you on trips when needed. Most laser removal machines are large and bulky and difficult to take on trips but this option allows you to keep up with your treatment, even when you travel. Because many devices require you to keep up with your sessions on a weekly basis, we think that this option is great for the traveler who wants to keep on with your at-home sessions.

It’s been designed in such a way that you can easily treat your upper lip, bikini zone, and anywhere else you need to quickly yet effectively. To make sure that this device is safe for you to use, it has been designed with a special feature that enables it to work only on the skin tones that it’s safe to use on. It is highly easy to use and is much less painful than some other similar machines.

The only thing that we suggest is that you have patience when using it, as it does take around a month before you’ll see results. It works well with dark hair yet not so well on darker skin. If you have lighter hair, it can still work, but you’ll need to do more treatments. A nice thing about the Silk’n Flash&Go is that it isn’t hard on your skin. If you’re concerned about having smooth and soft skin after using this type of machine, this one is ideal for you. We love smooth and hair-free skin. We also love that this option is offered at a fair price for the quality and features it provides.

What We Like

  • It includes a carry case, so you can easily take it with you wherever you go.
  • Because you can use it plugged in, you don’t have to worry about batteries going out when in use.
  • Its compact size make it easy to take with you on trips, so that you can always keep up with treatment.

What We Don’t Like

  • It takes multiple treatments for you to see results if you have darker skin.
  • It doesn’t provide as long-lasting results as some other devices.

5. Philips Lumea New BRI956 Prestige IPL review

The Phillips Lumea BRI956 stands out from the rest because it has curved attachments, which help you to more easily target different areas on your body. It also has a SmartSkin sensor so that you can find the perfect setting for your skin tone. This makes it easier for you to see results quicker than you would otherwise.

The Phillips Lumea can be used with the battery or plugged in. The battery isn’t so long-lasting, so if you are working on a large area, it works better plugged in. This is actually a feature that we love as you can have the freedom to do the treatment without the cord getting in the way for the most part but you can still continue treatment when needed by plugging it in.

What makes this option a device that we can’t rave about is that it is quite bulky and heavy to use. This wouldn’t be a problem if you only wanted to use it small areas but it can be challenging to hold for more than a few minutes when you want to laser your legs or arms.

We think that this device is one of the best permanent hair removal options for those who want to get rid of hair on their bikini area. Many of these types of beauty devices aren’t safe enough to use in such sensitive areas, but this one is. Of course, the price may not be for everyone, as it is much higher than some similar options on our list.

If it weren’t for the special curved attachments, we’d definitely suggest that you look elsewhere for a cheaper option but we definitely like how these attachments allow users to target specific areas. After all, you’re investing in this machine, so that you don’t have to worry about unwanted hair, no matter where it may be.

What We Like

  • You can hardly feel anything when you use this device, making it one of the most painless options to use.
  • We love that there are curved attachments for challenging-to-reach areas.
  • The SmartSkin sensor is a great feature, so you can make sure that you using it on the best level for you.

What We Don’t Like

  • The battery doesn’t last very long.
  • It is much pricier than other similar devices.
  • We think that the machine has an awkward design and is a bit heavy.

Laser versus Electrolysis versus IPL: What’s the Difference?

IPL is an option that you’re going to see a lot when searching for the best permanent hair removal options on the market. You’ll also find there to be many laser and electrolysis options, as well. How do you know which one will be the one you need? To help you determine, we’ll define the benefits of each one, so you can make an informed decision.

Laser

Laser hair treatment is a unique kind of hair removal that can be effective both in reducing hair growth and also permanently removing it. Both desired results will take multiple sessions before you see changes.

Lasers use light wavelengths that are absorbed by your hairs’ pigmentation. Because of this, you’ll find that many at-home laser hair removal machines only work on certain types of skin color and hair color.

A positive to using these types of treatments is that the laser beams only have one type of light they go deeper into your skin, which results in a more concentrated and specific blast to the hair follicle. This helps you to do focused and specific hair removal treatment.

The downside about laser is that it typically provides optimal results for those with lighter skin and darker hair. If you have lighter hair or darker skin, you may not see effective results from it—at least not permanent ones.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis uses electrical currents to use heat as a way to target each hair follicle. Because of this, it’s easier to target more hair at once, which helps you to eliminate hair more quickly than with other types of treatments.

It’s also considered to be a more permanent solution to removing hair, as it targets the roots. Another thing to consider about electrolysis is that it can also be used on all types of skin and hair types, which isn’t the case with every hair removal solution.

The downside of electrolysis hair removal is that most at-home electrolysis devices aren’t that effective. It’s also much more time-consuming than some other options.

IPL

IPL uses intense flashes of light that, essentially, burns the hair shaft. Because of the technique used in IPL, you can usually cover and target larger areas of hair than with laser. This means that it is usually takes less time to remove hair when using IPL devices than laser ones.

The downside to using IPL is that it’s not as powerful as laser, so you will need to do more sessions for long-lasting results. IPL also tends to be dangerous for darker-skinned users, so isn’t the best for every skin type.

Which One Should You Choose?

It can be challenging to make a decision on the right option for you and your needs, especially if you are new at using these devices. The following guide will help you to better understand why some types are best left to professionals and which option is best for specific skin types.

laser vs ipl hair removal

When At-Home Electrolysis Hair Removal May Not Be For You

Electrolysis is one of the best options for removing your hair permanently but it may not be the best way to do it for everyone. Because it is a highly invasive way to remove hair-which is one reason why it is so effective-it is also not the easiest method to use.You may want to consider trying something else if you want to do hair removal on your own. Here are some reasons why electrolysis may not be the best choice for you:

  • It needs to be done right for it to be effective. If you don’t really know what you’re doing, you may be wasting money and time.
  • Speaking of time, do you have a lot of time to sit around picking at hair follicles? While any type of hair removal is time-consuming, because of how electrolysis is done, it takes much more time than many options. It’s going to be a serious commitment on your part to actually do it right and for you to see results. Are you up to it?
  • It’s painful when you don’t use the machine right. While some other types of hair removal machines may cause minor discomfort, electrolysis can hurt quite a lot when not done right.
  • info-circleIt can cause scarring if you don’t do it properly. The whole purpose of using electrolysis is to improve your appearance, as well as remove hair, so possibly scarring your skin is not worth it.
  • info-circleIt is a highly effective option but it takes many treatments for it to be effective. Sometimes electrolysis can take up to thirty treatments until you start to see a difference.
  • info-circleIt can be challenging to do it correctly, which means that you could end up with multiple bent hair follicles. Bent hair follicles are both painful and could result in scars. This can be especially detrimental if you are trying to remove hair on your face.
  • info-circleMost at-home electrolysis devices are not FDA-approved and if you want to be sure that you are staying safe, you will want to consider this. While many of them may be perfectly fine to use, you can’t be too sure. Avoid possible skin damage or worse by going a safer route.

While electrolysis is certainly one of the most effective methods for hair removal, it’s also one that is better done by professionals. If in doubt, don’t do it and consider another method—at least if you are hoping for permanent results at home and not at a clinic.

Why Is Laser Hair Removal The Best Option?

With the above information, it’s easy to see why electrolysis at-home machines may not be the best for your hair removal needs. Are laser devices what could work best for you? Here are some positives to using the best at-home machine that you can find:

  • Laser hair removal is precise, as you are targeting more individual hairs than when you use other options.
  • As laser hair removal is more precise, it’s better for those with dark skin tones to use than IPL is. (Side note: Be careful if you are dark-skinned and make sure that it can be used on your type of pigmentation).
  • Laser hair removal often provides longer-lasting and even more permanent results. This means that it is more time-efficient, which could be an attractive reason for you to use laser over other options.
  • check-square-oThere are different laser options for unique types of skin tones, so you can most likely find one that works for your skin and needs.
  • check-square-oIt is quite quick to use, so you don’t have to worry about spending hours on your at-home treatment.
  • check-square-oLaser hair removal machines are often, but not always, more affordable than some other options, making them an attractive choice for many.

If you have been removing hair for years through traditional methods, such as waxing or shaving, you may be tired of it. It’s time consuming to continually be having to make sure that everything is trimmed. A lot of our bodies are full of hair, from head to toe, so just imagine how much time we spend on grooming our bodies.

This is why laser treatment could be the best alternative for you when you want to get rid of hair in a more permanent way than simply shaving. It does take time to do but when you choose the best laser device, you can be sure that it will only be a few sessions and you’ll get to kiss that thick hair goodbye.

Laser Hair Removal at Home

Many people prefer to treat their skin sitting at home. Some people think that going to a clinic for hair removal is both expensive as well as wastage of time. For them, a lot of laser removers are now available on the market. In fact, the seven best  laser hair removers on this article are very effective for home usage.

With all these removers you can treat your skin all on your own as they are very easy to operate. The user manual will help you to understand everything regarding a proper hair treatment. But you need to be careful while using it for the first time to avoid any potential risk to your skin.

Advantages of Home Laser Hair Removal

  • You can treat your skin according to your necessity
  • This removal is much cost-effective than clinic treatment
  • You can use the flash on your skin adjusting the level
  • Home removal delivers better result in reducing hair permanently
  • You need not worry about time maintenance or duration

How At-Home Laser Hair Removal Will Save You Time and Money

As mentioned above, laser hair removal is going to help you to spend less time shaving and waxing. Do you know what are some other top benefits are from using it? You’ll save time and money when you choose an at-home laser removal device. Here is why:

  • This type of hair removal at a clinic is incredibly pricey and especially so, when you have stubborn hair follicles. You could find yourself having to go for several expensive sessions that will empty out your savings and try your patience. When you buy a machine to use at home, you only have to make an initial payment, and at times cartridge or battery replacements, so in the end, it is much more affordable than clinic sessions. For example, a quality hair removal machine can be anywhere between $250 to $700, whereas sessions can be offered at around $250 a session for only one area and that isn’t counting touch-up sessions. As you can see, you could be saving yourself thousands of dollars and you don’t even have to leave your house to get the same results.
  • You can make sure that you are taking care of your skin and being careful with your body. While most professionals know how to treat your skin well, there are always the few that may not do it as professionally as you like. You get to control the process when you do it at home. You also get to make sure that you are treating areas that you really care to focus on, without being limited to the clinic’s open spaces and timing.
  • Because you’re doing your own hair removal, you can spend as much time as you need to on it. This means that there is no limit to the areas you can focus on during a certain day. When you go to a clinic, you’re given a limited amount of time for the process. If you do it yourself and schedule your own hair removal times, you can do it over a shorter time span than if you would at the clinic. Sometimes, when doing hair removal at clinics, it can be hard to schedule appointments for when you have time—especially if you work full-time. This is another reason why doing it yourself at home makes it a much easier and time-saving experience.

We know what it’s like when the bills add up yet you also want to keep up with your grooming and beauty needs. That’s why we think that this type of device could the perfect alternative for you. You can still take care of grooming needs while saving yourself time and plenty of money. It’s a win-win decision, no matter how you look at it.

How To Buy The Best Laser Hair Remover For You?

This is the part of the process that you want to spend the most time on. We may find some devices to be just right for us, but we know that each person is different and what you may need could be different than what works for us. It’s a big investment, so go ahead and take your time on choosing the best type for you.

  • It is important to always double check reviews on the machines that you’re considering, so that you can be confident that it will work well for your type of skin tone. When you don’t use the right kind for your skin, you could end up buying something that won’t be effective for you or a device that could even cause scarring. If in doubt, look for one that has options to test the device on your skin, so you can make sure that you’re using the right level for you.
  • Many manufacturers will include charts that let you know if the machine is good for your type of skin and hair color. If they don’t, you could always read through reviews to get an idea but it’s best to choose options that can tell you clearly whether or not they are ideal for your skin type. Above, you’ll find that there are a couple of machines that allow you to test your skin, so you can always be sure to use the right level of power for you. You’ll find that many laser hair removal machines are made for those with pale skin and darker hair but there are also options designed specifically for those with darker skin.
  • You also should take into consideration how much time and money you want to put into your hair removal. Read up on the options that you’re interested in, so you can determine which one will help you to get the results that you want in less time and for less money.
  • Something else that you’ll want to consider before buying your machine is where you are going to use it. Not every machine can be used for the face and some are too large and bulky to use on delicate, small areas. Also, not every device is safe for sensitive spots like the bikini line, so make sure that you know what you need before your invest in the best option for you.
  • Many people will say that they don’t like corded devices, as the cords tend to get in the way. This is something that you’ll want to consider before buying your machine. Cordless machines are nice in that you don’t have to worry about being close to an outlet to use it but their battery life tends to be quite poor. When the battery dies, you’ll have to take the time to charge it, which means an even longer hair removal session. When you have a corded option, you can use it for as long as is necessary.

10 Steps to Take Before Using Your Hair Removal Machine

In order to get the best results, stay safe, and have amazing skin, you’ll want to make sure that you’re doing things the right way. The following tips will help you to get the most out of your laser hair removal machine:

  • Make sure that you have read the instructions on the device and know how to use it properly. Improper use or handling could result in accidents or render the machine useless, so make sure to double-check any include guide or handbook.
  • Make sure that the area that you want to treat is clean. You’ll want to wash it thoroughly beforehand to make sure you don’t have any dirt or dust clogging your hair follicles. If you are using it on your face, you want to be sure that you have no makeup residue left on your face. Make sure that you have dried the area before you start treatment. This is very important!
  • Shave the area that you will be treating before you get started. You need to be able to reach the roots.
  • Test the area that you will be treating if you have some type of skin sensor on your device, so you can make sure to use right level for the area that you will be treating. If you’re starting out for the first time, use the lowest level to help you get used to using it.
  • You may want to consider keeping a chart of the areas that you are treating, so that you can come back to treating it every couple of weeks. Because any hair removal device will take a few sessions for long-lasting results, you want to be sure that you are treating it correctly. Make sure to consider the device you’ve purchased and if it includes any instructions on how much time you should allow between each session. It is typically two weeks but it can differ depending on the machine that you have bought.
  • If you know that the device causes some pain, you’ll want to consider this before treatment. If you happen to be treating a very sensitive area, you may want to consider treating it during a time when you’re not PMS’ing or find yourself with low pain tolerance.
  • When you’re finished treating the area, make sure to clean your machine. You don’t want to leave it full of hair and allow for bacteria to grow. This can be harmful for your skin the next time that you go to use it.
  • After you are finished treating the area, consider putting ice on it, especially if your skin feels irritated. This will help to diminish pain and is beneficial for your skin. If you have calming lotion, you can also apply it a bit later on.
  • You want to make sure that you use sunscreen faithfully after treating the area, especially if it’s on your face or another part of your body that is frequently exposed to the sun. Hair removal-especially with laser-makes your skin much more susceptible and can even result in dark spots and skin damage. Be faithful with sunblock as if your skin depends on it—because it does, after you have done any type of hair removal.
  • Avoid going to the sauna in the next day or so after you have used the best laser hair removal device for you.
  • Last but not least, avoid tweezing or waxing after you have treated an area. If you must remove any hairs that are growing, use a razor.

Treatment Area: Where you are going to apply the remover whether it is face, bikini line, legs, underarms or cheeks plays a significant role. You need to check out with great care whether your chosen laser hair remover can work on those areas without any difficulties.

Pulse Speed: Pulse speed is one of the most important factors regarding a good treatment. Different models come with different pulse speed for the consumers. Depending upon your skin type, various removers allow you to get a wide range of pulse speed.

Advanced Technology: Usage of advanced technology with laser hair removal is no doubt a considerable factor as well. Comfort Filter provides comfort, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) provides better flash, and more technologies are coming to use these days.

Adjusting Facility: For stubborn hairs, the further intensity of light pulse is necessary, and for normal ones general intensity just holds good. This is why you need to go for a remover that comes with intensity level adjustment facility so that you can use it according to your necessity.

Treatment Duration: If you want to get rid of your unwanted hair once and for all, some removers provide you the opportunity to get it within some weeks while some others may need much longer usage. You need to buy one remover considering this issue as well.

Whether It is Painless or Not: With the usage of the laser, heat is produced and needless to say, it may give you some serious pain at certain removal process. So if you’ve been using it for two years, then it doesn’t sound very effective as a permanent hair removal solution?

One has got various options, when it comes to removing body hair. Prior to making a decision, the individual can consider all of them. You can shave, but hair will grow in a matter of days. If you want to keep your body hair-free for a longer period of time, then you should pick laser hair removal option. Laser hair removal does not get rid of hair forever. But it does reduce the possibility of hair growth drastically. Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that falls somewhere between shaving and waxing.
